Project Details
This project was comprised of several cleanrooms constructed using our industry-renowned and FM-approved, Puracore Aluminium Honeycomb panels that were finished with uPVC White Food Safe Laminate, complete with a box frame to all four edges. Some of the key features which made this an interesting project include Walk-On Ceilings, Built-in Electrical Containment and a full Ceiling and Partitioning Package.
We were very flexible around end-user requirements and included their preferred Assa Abloy electric latching interlocking on doors featured throughout the project, a detail that is not typical for our Puracore system, but we were happy to accommodate in order to match the specification.
The various rooms within this project included:
- Medical Device Rooms
- Pharmaceutical Ingredients Synthesis Room
- Isolation Rooms
- Quality Control
- Storing Warehouse
- Changing Rooms
The products used for this project included:
- 100m2 of Puracore 50mm Aluminium Honeycomb Ceiling Panels
- 250m2 of Puracore 50mm Aluminium Honeycomb Wall Panels with Internal Conduits
- 100m2 of Puracore 17.5mm Liner Panels
- 12 Puracore Vision Panels
- 12 Puracore Single Leaf Doors
- Recessed Base
- Pre-cut Apertures on Panels
One of the reasons Iris chose to work with us on this project was for our Puracore flush walk-on ceiling, which was an important part of the specification. They were also attracted by our detailed design service that’s available to any client, as this made the project much easier for them allowing them to easily coordinate with other services.
We wanted to help make this project easier for Iris to manage which is why we dispatched all the products on a room by room basis, making it much easier for installation teams to find the right panels when on the site.
The project has been split into two phases, the first of which having been completed at the end of 2022.
Testimonial
"Gilcrest worked closely with us to ensure that details necessary to give a suitable room finish were confirmed during the design phase. This saves time and money when the materials are delivered to the site and ensures a good-looking installation"
