Royal Garden Hotel

Gilcrest Manufacturing were approached by the Royal Garden Hote in Kensington to supply and deliver aluminium honeycomb panels to line the corridors on two floors of the building. Found in the heart of London’s most sought after locations this 5-star hotel in Kensington is the hotel of choice for many famous personalities and international sports people.

Project specification and challenges

The Royal Garden Hotel required a large quantity of corridor panels to be fitted on two floors of the hotel. These panels needed to be lightweight and with hidden fixtures to allow for access behind the panel. The panels were fitted into a public area of the hotel therefore it was essential they matched the interior of the Royal Garden Hotel.

 The Gilcrest Manufacturing team were determined to offer a solution that not only met performance requirements but achieved the desired aesthetics for the hotel.

Gilcrest Manufacturing supplied 166 FM approved, CE marked and fire rated aluminium honeycomb panels with hidden fixtures to present a flush, clean look throughout the hotel whilst allowing accessibility. Each panel measured 19mm in thickness with a galvanised steel skin and complete with a special White print finish for superior aesthetics.

The aluminium honeycomb core allowed Gilcrest to deliver a lightweight panel which was also strong and impact resistant, a necessary property for a bustling hotel.
