Testing & Certifications

Over the years, we have fine-tuned our product testing and production process to ensure the optimum reliability of the products delivered to our customers. We have managed to reduce our Puracore range’s internal rejection rate to just 1.3%.

Full bespoke testing service

Whilst our Puracore range has been fully tested and approved, we also offer you testing of bespoke products to ensure they will be capable of producing the desired results. Depending on the project, and types of products in question, we can test a range of features to ensure the bespoke products are able to withstand various loads, pressures and charges.

Our Certifications

At Gilcrest, we’ve made it our business to ensure that we secure relevant, industry-recognised qualifications and memberships. We’ve done this to signify the quality, safety, and adherence to global standards of our products, as well as to demonstrate our awareness of industry. Many of our clients use cleanrooms as a part of their manufacturing process, and using sub-par/uncertified products can result in significant disruptions to production, profit loss, damage to the brand/product, company reputation, and have adverse affects on the health of those working in the cleanroom.

Our certifications act as a guarantee of dependability, safety and reliability for for our customers, helping to instil confidence and trust in our products.

Types of Testing

Ideal for biosafe labs as we understand the importance to maintain negative
pressures that prevent the spread of microbes. This test will ensure the panel structure will be unphased by the varying pressures both inside and outside the labs. We have completed some key testing around fixings ensure that seals can be maintained even after intrusive panel fixings.

This type of testing ensures that panels of different composition hold up under structural compressional forces. We use indicative modelling to preventing the structure being
compromised when loaded from above, or placed under tensions.

Many of our panels may have various fixings to them. This test proves that the fixings can withstand the required pull out forces within the panels. With varying cores and surfaces, as well as varying fixings used this can be complex, and testings to prove performance are essential.

In many cases, air tightness is crucial to a project, to prevent the movement of microbes, dust and other contaminants, in and out of the environment. The air tightness is also important for maintaining the correct pressure within the environment. We have tested many of our standard components for air tightness but can support clients with their specific needs and testing.

For the bespoke walk-on ceilings that are bearing loads, it’s important to understand the load capacity and weak spots of the structure. This test gives you data on load limits and how to safely operate using the ceiling. For our standard panels we can model deflection performance against loads and spans.

This test is designed to demonstrate the tensile durability of a panel, ensuring that it won’t break apart on site and compromise the overall structure during operational use. As
cores and surface skins differ knowing the composite panels tensile strength can be essential, we
can complete this testing.

We can fire test the bespoke products we produce for you, however, this is carried out
by our 3rd party specialists in their certified furnaces.

In order to achieve the best sound absorptions from the panels, we test them using acoustic modelling to produce a sound attenuation graph, which gives you accurate data on
the acoustic performance.

Often, controlling the charge of the environment will be required for
specific operations in fields such as semi-conductor manufacturers. We can complete tests that show how well the charge can pass through the materials of the panel not affect the products being produced.
