Gilcrest Manufacturing High Pressure Laminate Panels

High Pressure Laminate Panels or HPL is produced by laying a number of layers of specialist kraft paper and saturating them with phenolic resin. The resulting sandwich is fused together under immense heat and pressure (more than 1,000 PSI). The curing process transforms the resin into plastic as a laminated sheet. This process can be applied to Gilcrest Manufacturing to produce high specification clean room panels with a number of advantages compared to the standard finishes.

High Pressure Laminate panels are ideal for clean rooms and controlled environments, particularly those that require a higher resistance to external stress. The HPL finish can withstand impacts and abrasions and is resistant to fire, chemicals and water. Puracore have developed a uniquely thin HPL laminate panel allowing for lower weight than its competitors whilst still maintaining an impressive impact resistance in excess of 1100N.

The images below show one of our latest jobs using High Pressure Laminate finish along with the Aluminium Honeycomb core, to create a strong, lightweight and robust panel. The client required impact resistant panels for a clean room based in the Middle East. Panels and all ancillaries have been safely packed and labelled ready to be shipped to site.
